Stories whisper around the edges of everything in life. They buzz in my ears, speaking in hushed tones their little tales. My writing is all about those little whispers. Most of my stories have come to life in the form of flash fiction and short stories, but something much longer is on its way.
Elizabeth Cottingham is a writer from New Jersey. She graduated from Montclair State University with a B.A. in English, with a concentration in Creative Writing. During her time there she won the English Department’s Creative Writing Award for Nonfiction.
As a child she learned to read chapter books through the mysteries of Agatha Christie and Tony Hillerman. This in turn caused all the stories she wrote as a child to be Mysteries. While she does still enjoy reading a good Mystery, her own writing stays within the genre of Women’s Fiction. When she isn’t writing, she likes to look through her camera lens and capture whatever stories are on the other side.
